Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the 14th Annual Conference on Crimes Against Women presented by Genesis Women's Shelter & Support and the Dallas Police Department!
Since 2005, the Conference on Crimes Against Women has trained more than 10,000 law enforcement officers, prosecutors, advocates, medical professionals, campus administrators and others on best practices for responding to crimes against women. It is the only conference of its kind. We are expecting a record turn-out this year with more than 2,800 attendees to come from across the world to hear from the nation’s leading experts on domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, campus safety and more.
Our volunteers are a huge part of why this conference has been successful and attendance has continued to grow. We have relied heavily on our volunteers to serve as our right hands during the week and ensure this runs smoothly. Many of you will be serving as room monitors during the conference, sitting in the workshops to assist speakers as needed, helping with crowd control and handing out surveys.
*NOTE: A mandatory orientation will be held for all volunteers on Sunday, April 7 from 12:00-1:00pm at the Sheraton. Please ensure that you sign up for orientation in addition to any volunteer shifts.
